Welcome to the Orange Gallery website. The Gallery, founded July 2006, represents the artists and artisans of Gush Katif. It is located in the Nitzan refugee camp.
Gush Katif, the Jewish communities of the Gaza Strip, lies in rubble and ashes. Its once proud, industrious people have been reduced to unemployed homeless refugees.
Despite the trauma of the expulsion in August 2005 and their bleak present lives, our artists have banded together under the auspices of the non-profit organization OPERATION DIGNITY. They sell to on-site visitors, at art fairs, and at private showings throughout Israel.
This website will introduce you to our excellent artists, whose work is often dominated by the theme of Gush Katif, its beauty, serenity, and traumatic end. Our artists work in oils, glass, charcoal, photography, and textiles.
